More Changes

For the non-technical, this will be a boring post that you have my permission to skip.
A few years ago I took the initiative to write my own blogging software. In just a few short days I was able to create 90% of what I wanted. I had always planned on going back to the code to update and add new features, but of course, I never did.
Until now.
History

In honor of Googles 10th birthday, they are offering searches from January 2001. It’s interesting to see what you’ll find. A search on my name brings up nothing, but a search on wonderdog, inc brings up an old version of my site.
Links

Dangit. I just wiped out all my links on the side. If I was linking to you and I’m not anymore, or if you just want me to link to you, shoot me an email via the about page.
Thanks!
Drawings
Thursday, May 08, 2008
I updated the drawings page with some of the personal sketch cards I’ve been doing and a few others I had laying around. I need to fire up the scanner and get some more up, I’ll try to do that tonight.
Ads

I’m trying out a new ad system from Project Wonderful. I’m really kind of testing it out to use on the Wonderdog site, but hopefully I’ll get a little extra change to use for marketing Wondy. If you’re interested in buying ad space, I suggest going to Project Wonderful and setting up an account. The space is starting at $0. ACT NOW!
Merry X-mas!

‘X’ mas! What the heck!? You’re taking Christ out of Christmas. No, actually I’m not. You see, in the Greek, Christ is Χριστους (Christos). So I’m just abbreviating.
I put a video up of a few members of my church working in Mexico. My brother and his family are moving there in 2008, so I thought it would be nice to show you what all we’ve been doing. We are working with an orphanage that houses special needs children. Since my brother and his wife are both Occupational Therapists, and these kids all need therapy of some sort, they saw it was a good fit.
Enjoy and have a Merry Christmas! Or a happy Christmas if you don’t believe in merriment.
New Truck
Monday, July 02, 2007
So after driving my Jeep back and forth from Bandera to San Antonio every day (about 60 miles one way) and getting only 11 to 12 miles to the gallon, I’ve decided to get a new vehicle. I thought about getting a little commuter car that gets a million miles to the gallon, but I really couldn’t use it for anything other than driving to work in, and to me, that seems like a waste. So I needed something that I could drive to work, and use on weekends. So I decided to get a truck.
I was going to wait, as per Mel’s orders, but while I was looking I found one that was a great deal, so I bought it. I got a 2005 Toyota Tundra. Four doors, dvd player, 4.7 V-8, sliding rear window (the whole thing slides down! how cool is that!?) and a limited slip in the rear, which is the next best thing to four wheel drive. The great thing is I’ll be able to use the truck to pull the Jeep to the trails. All I need now is a trailer…
As for gas mileage, it’s not a great step up from my Jeep, so Mel will be driving the truck and I’ll be driving the Liberty, which gets the best mileage of all three vehicles.
I’ll post pictures soon.
They what?!

My son told our friend Amanda, “Sometimes, when boys go hiking, they wear earrings.”
Yeah, I got nothing for that.
